Entrepreneurship is a cornerstone of North America’s economic vitality, but SMEs continue to face barriers in accessing capital, markets, and policy support. This session will examine how the U.S., Mexico, and Canada can strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem by building capacity, expanding mentorship networks, and fostering cross-border partnerships. Panelists will also consider the role of tax incentives, regulatory streamlining, and trilateral cooperation in helping entrepreneurs scale beyond domestic markets. The discussion will highlight both the challenges SMEs encounter and the innovative approaches governments and business leaders are deploying to ensure that entrepreneurship remains a driver of inclusive growth across the region.

As the U.S., Mexico, and Canada prepare for major shared moments—including the 2026 FIFA World Cup and growing cross-border investment—entrepreneurs and policymakers are rethinking how culture-driven collaboration, evolving trade dynamics, and digital transformation can strengthen the continent’s competitiveness. The discussion will highlight how world events, shifting supply chains, and increasing trilateral cooperation create unique openings for SMEs and innovators to build, scale, and connect across borders.

Smarter Together: Strengthening North America’s Competitive Edge Through Innovation

Session Description:
In an era of strategic competition with the European Union, China, and other global economic blocs, North America must evolve not just through policy, but through innovation. This panel will explore how the United States, Mexico, and Canada can harness emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and digital infrastructure to solidify their collective position as a dynamic, competitive trading bloc. Business and policy leaders will discuss coordinated strategies to boost regional productivity, standardize digital trade norms, and position North America as a global model for inclusive, tech-powered economic growth.

Entrepreneurs as Envoys: The Role of Small Businesses in North American Diplomacy

Session Description:
While diplomacy is often thought of as the domain of governments, small businesses play a quiet but powerful role in shaping regional relationships. Through cross-border partnerships, supply chains, mentorship, and cultural exchange, entrepreneurs help build trust and economic interdependence across North America. This panel will explore how small and medium-sized enterprises are advancing diplomatic goals by fostering cooperation, resolving friction, and serving as grassroots ambassadors of integration. Panelists will highlight real-world examples where business activity has led to greater mutual understanding, stronger trilateral ties, and a more resilient regional economy.
